Spanberger unveils Va. education plan: Earle-Sears, Reid tout discipline & parental choice

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (7News) — As Virginia students return to class, education is defining the governor’s race, with Democrat Abigail Spanberger detailing her “Strengthening Virginia Schools” education plan, if elected governor, and Republicans highlighting discipline and parental choice.
Shauneille Perry-Wallace, a middle school counselor and Portsmouth Public Schools’ 2024 Middle School Teacher of the Year, spoke last Friday in support of Spanberger’s plan, saying, “Public education is the great equalizer.”
Princess Moss, a Louisa County teacher and vice president of the National Education Association, added: “She listens, she acts, and she will deliver for Virginia’s families.”
