Virginiahealthofficialsconfirmedasecondmeaslescasein2025,ateenagerintheNorthwestRegionwhorecentlytraveledinternationally.PotentialexposurelocationsinCharlottesvilleincludetheairport,severalstores,andUVAHealthfacilitiesbetweenMay20-23.Individualswhowerepotentiallyexposedandareunvaccinatedshouldcontacttheirhealthcareproviderimmediately.TheVirginiaDepartmentofHealthreportedthestate’ssecondmeaslescaseoftheyearonMay23.Thepatientisateenager(13-17years)inthe NorthwestRegion whorecentlytraveledinternationally.Toprotectthefamily’sprivacy,VDHwillnotprovideanyadditionalinformationaboutthepatient.Healthofficialsarecoordinatingeffortstoidentifyanyonewhomighthavebeenexposed
