Virginia health officials investigate rise in childhood cancer cases in Scott County

ParentsinScottCounty,Virginiaareraisingconcernsaboutthenumberofchildrenwithcancerthere. SoLENOWISCOHealthDistrictleaderscreatedasurveyforparentstofillout,whichwillallowhealthleaderstodigdeeperonwhatmaybegoingoninthearea. Afewweeksago,ScottCountyparentsnotifiedtheVirginiaDepartmentofHealth’sLENOWISCOHealthDistrictandtheVirginiaCancerRegistryabouttheincreasetheyhaveseeninchildhoodcancercasesoverthepastyear.
