Virginia ‘mega bridge’ will be replaced 8 years ahead of schedule

A nearly 70-year-old bridge over the Rappahannock River between the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula is going to be replaced.

Work on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Bridge will begin in 2028, eight years ahead of schedule, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced last week.
