Bagby elected chair of Democratic Party of Virginia

VirginiaStateSenatorLamontBagby(D-9thDistrict)wasselectedaschairoftheDemocraticPartyofVirginiabytheparty’sCentralCommitteeMarch22.Bagby(whosedistrictincludesaportionofHenricoCounty)succeedsSusanSwecker,whoservedaschairsinceMarch2015.  Bagbyhasrepresentedthe9thDistrictintheVirginiaSenatesince2023.Hepreviouslyservedasthe74thDistrictdelegateintheVirginiaHouseofDelegatesfrom2015to2023,andpriortothatrepresentedtheFairfieldDistrictontheHenricoSchoolBoardfrom2008to2015.Heworkedasaneducatorbeforeseekingpublicoffice.
