President Trump nominates Virginians for federal roles

RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – President Trump has sent a new list of nominations for a variety of federal posts to the US Senate for approval. On the list are several prominent Virginians and people with Virginia ties.
Richard Anderson, a former Republican delegate and currently the Chair of the Virginia Republican Party, has been nominated to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force. Anderson is an Air Force veteran and was born in Roanoke, and attended Patrick Henry High School.
Leo Brent Bozell III, an activist, writer and founder of the Media Research Center, was nominated as Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media.
Attorney Jonathan Brightbill was nominated to be General Counsel of the Department of Energy.
