DAMASCUS — Vice President JD Vance pledged the federal government will do more to assist residents of this small community rebuild in the wake of disastrous flooding in September caused by Hurricane Helene.
Vance, who visited Damascus as a candidate in October just after the flooding, made good Monday on his promise to return — making this his first official visit since being sworn in one week ago.
