Glenn Youngkin delivered more good news to the General Assembly budget committees with the announcement this week that state tax collections are running almost $900 million ahead in the first six months of this fiscal year, compared with the same period a year ago.
The announcement late Wednesday wasn’t a surprise, given the revised revenue forecast that Youngkin submitted with his proposed budget last month.
