Gov.-electAbigailSpanbergermovedThursdaytoelevateoneoftheGeneralAssembly’smostseasonedenvironmentallawmakers,selectingDel.DavidBulova,D-Fairfax,toleadVirginia’snaturalandhistoricresourcesportfoliowhenshetakesofficenextmonth.
SpanbergersaidBulova’sdecadesinenvironmentalplanningandhislegislativeworkonwaterquality,ChesapeakeBaycleanupandconservationpolicymakehimwellsuitedtosteertheadministration’seffortsonclimateresilience,preservationandlandstewardship.Inannouncingthechoice,sheframedtheappointmentascentraltoheragenda.
