ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Department of Justice on Wednesday moved to drop the charges against a man arrested in Virginia who they alleged was a top MS-13 gang leader.

AjointtaskforcemadeupofFBIagents,PrinceWilliamCountyPolice,ATF,ICE,andtheVirginiaStatePolicemadethearrest.TheysaidSantoswas‘hiding’inthegaragebedroomofhismother’sDaleCityhomeandthatagentsdeployedastungrenadetoforcehimout.
Santoswastakenintocustodyonanoutstandingadministrativeimmigrationwarrantandwaslaterchargedwithillegalgunpossessionafterseveralfirearmswerediscoveredduringasearchofthepremises.
