RICHMOND,Va.(TNND)—VirginiaGov.GlennYoungkinonFridayreleasedastatementcheeringtheUniversityofVirginia’sdecisiontoshutteritsdiversity,equityandinclusion(DEI)office. Theuniversity’sBoardofVisitorshadunanimouslyapprovedaresolutiontodissolveitsOfficeofDiversity,Equity,Inclusion,accordingtothegovernor’soffice.ThatresolutionrequiresalluniversityprogramstocomplywiththeConstitution’sEqualProtectionClauseandTitleVI,whichguaranteeequaltreatmentforall.
