Two transportation entities in the region announced passenger increases for 2024.
Virginia Breeze Bus Lines, operated by the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation, had nearly 65,000 passengers across its four routes, including one that includes the Roanoke and New River valleys. It was Virginia Breeze’s best year in its seven-year history and represents a 9.2% increase from 2023, highlighting the growing demand for sustainable, affordable, and reliable travel options that connect communities across the Commonwealth, according to DRPT news release.
The Virginia Breeze bus line announced that it had its best year ever in 2024.
